PROJECTS

Samurais Last Stand - 3D Top-down, Fast-paced Action Game

Samurais Last Stand is a game I created in Unity and was the focus of a challenge I set for myself to create a playable game in a week as part of a game-jam like idea. In this game you play as a samurai character defending yourself from the many enemies falling from the sky by deflecting the projectiles back at them.

- Used C# in the Unity game engine

- Programmed all systems

- Designed and made UI assets

- Increased familiarity with Unity's systems including the animator

- Improved my ability to work towards a goal in a short amount of time in an organised way

En-gauge - 2D Physics-based Platforming Game

En-gauge is a 2D platforming game demo I created together with other programmers, artists, and designers in which the player must go through each level using their shotgun weapon to propel themselves in various directions. I mainly worked on implementing the asset manager and our 2D collision System.

- Utilized C++ and DirectX12 for development in Visual Studio

- Designed and implemented a Resource Manager class that handled loading of game assets

- Designed and implemented the 2D collision system for our game

- Helped design gameplay where players use a shotgun to propel through maps

- Enhanced teamwork and source control management skills

- Conducted frequent small scrum meetings for effective communication and problem-solving
